Up for Review: Sonocaddie V300 (N050-1BB) Golf GPS
The Sonocaddie V300 is a unique GPS system built to track and improve your golf game. Equipped with 14 channels and a full color screen you can mark off your shots to determine how far you hit the ball and also measure the distance to the green so you can find the most accurate club. Golf GPS systems are quickly growing in popularity. The Sonocaddie V300 could be one of the best investments you make in your game.
One of the biggest issues of portable GPS systems is the battery life. If a GPS system is only going to last you a few hours, it usually isn’t very useful. You also have to look out for GPS systems that take regular disposable batteries. The Sonocaddie V300 has a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts up to 12 hours which should last you a full day on the course.
Learning to use the Sonocaddie V300 isn’t as difficult as some golf GPS systems. The included manual will get you up and going very quickly. Also included with the V300 is a carrying case or belt clip which is great if you’re on the course. You’ll also receive all of the cables and chargers need to operate this system. No additional expense is required.

Sonocaddie V300 screen review: The 2.2 inch screen on this system has its pro’s and con’s. It’s compact size make it great for portability and make it lightweight. However, a 2.2 inch screen is on the smaller side. It’s up to you if you want to sacrifice size for portability. The full color screen is superb.
The V300 allows you to update the map yourself by noting new hazards or temporary issues with the course. There is also a built-in scorecard so you can forget about the miniature pencils and paper scorecards. Keeping a record of your score comes in very handy when referencing previous outings.
The Sonocaddie V300 is a true golf GPS. This system is strictly limited to golf features and doesn’t have some of the other bells and whistles. This is good if you’re looking for a golf GPS only. However, some people enjoy some of the other common GPS features so they don’t have to purchase separate units.
You can pick up the Sonocaddie V300 for between $300 and $400 at various retails stores. The best deal available at the time of this review was at Amazon.com
