The TomTom – One 125 arrives at the gadget market in the midst of stiff competition amongst major GPS makers. Each is constantly improving their systems and making them more affordable. Coupled with the new design of the TomTom. Its sleek looks and ultra thin design make it look great.

Navigation has been made simpler with the TomTom – One 125. As a personal navigation device, the TomTom – One 125 helps to move about any place in the United States and Puerto Rico. The technology behind it is the Global Positioning System (GPS), the signals of which are available throughout the world. The TomTom – One 125 provides real-time locations and directions. Being completely portable, it can be taken anywhere. Its turn-by-turn voice instructions never allow you to get lost.

The 3.5” color TFT-LCD touch-screen displays the illuminated maps for guidance through the maze of roads. There are specialized low-glare display settings for night driving. You need not lift your eyes from the road as the TomTom – One 125 gives voice-guidance. In case of emergencies, it provides information about the locations where help is available. The POI icons can find gas stations and restaurants along the route too.

The power button is almost concealed on the top of the TomTom – One 125. A mini-USB input for power is integrated at the bottom of the unit. It also has an innovative mount, called the EasyPort, which consists of two parts: the bezel-based suction cup and the ring. This helps to position the TomTom at any comfortable place in the car.

Learning to navigate with the TomTom – One 125 is fairly easy. After entering a street address or a point, the system will prompt for the arrival time. It will notify if the time is feasible with reference to the current position. It will also provide alternative routes to the destination and project the shortest one. The maps can also be personalized with the Map Share feature. It is possible to improve the maps and get the most accurate ones in the world’s largest navigation community. Other detailed maps can also be downloaded via the computer. An USB cable can be used to install these maps.
