Garmin Nuvi 780 Reviews
Up for review: Garmin nuvi 780. Enabled with enhanced MSN Direct Service, the Nuvi 780 GPS system from Garmin is a functional GPS device for road warriors. Designed with a wide range of advanced features, this model from Garmin’s 700 series includes advanced route planning, text-to-speech directions, a diagonal 4.3 inch widescreen, blue-tooth compatible phone as its striking features.
According to the review, the diagonal 4.3 inch widescreen of Garmin Nuvi 780 displays a well-thought-out and easy-to-navigate menu system with sharp and bright texts and images. With state-of-the-art routing features and mapping database, and other navigation options like intersections, favorite and cities, the GPS device is a powerful travel companion. The device enables you to store up to 10 pre-set routes along with options to search points of interest. The user can also edit the pre-set routes, manually reorder the points, add or remove the points or instruct the device to reorder the points. If you subscribe to MSN Direct and you search for a location, the Garmin Nuvi 780 can guide you to the destination. But, the added advantage is the screen zooms back to indicate about the upcoming turns with an arrow pointing towards the turns. Moreover, you can receive guidance about the street names or route numbers of the approaching turns with the “text-to-speech” feature of the GPS device.
The user can use the speaker of the model to receive instructions while driving. Although the FM transmitter feature of Nuvi 780 can send the sound of the device to the FM radio of your vehicle, the limited access to FM in most regions makes it less than useful. Also, the device lack an automatic volume adjustment feature.
